Frequently Asked Questions

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

Direct Primary Care is a membership program that provides unlimited direct access to your health care provider for a low monthly fee. DPC makes health care accessible, affordable and convenient. Insurance is not billed, and there are no co-pays for visits.

Is DPC the same as health insurance?

No, Direct Primary Care is not health insurance. Your DPC membership with Vibrance will cover most of your primary care needs. We encourage our patients to carry some form of health insurance, such as a high-deductible, major medical plan or a plan with a health savings account, in case you’re hospitalized or need a specialist. Talk to your insurance provider about an insurance plan that will work best for you.

I already have health insurance, why should I pay for DPC also?

Direct primary care membership is an upfront investment with many downstream benefits. Care is more accessible with online scheduling, direct messaging, texting and video/telehealth appointments when appropriate. We provide preventive care to keep you healthy, and we manage chronic and urgent care issues. Pricing is transparent with no co-pays, and our partnerships make imaging tests less expensive. Combined, these services can save individuals and families hundreds to thousands of dollars. For examples, sutures provided at Vibrance could save you a trip to the emergency room, thereby saving you emergency room charges and ultimately saving you thousands of dollars.

Should I join if I don’t go to the doctor very often?

Yes, a membership can help keep you healthy. We focus on preventive and proactive care to help you remain healthy; but, if you should happen to get sick, we provide direct and convenient access to care to put you back on the path to health — all for one low monthly fee.

Does it matter what health insurance I have?

No, since DPC is not health insurance, you can combine your membership with any health insurance plan.
